My Students

Many of my students are highly motivated and ready to learn. They are like sponges, ready for knowledge about the scientific world in which we live. Other students need an intriguing educational experience in order to accomplish their potential.

Even during this pandemic and working from home, my students are young scientists who measure, weigh, hypothesize, theorize, and will make great future scientific, medical, and technological discoveries of the world.

Even at home they need the most current technology, and curriculum.

I am committed to providing my students the success of each and every student. I will provide the most outstanding educational experiences at this time through distance learning.

My Project

Middle school students are struggling with social distancing - while they may know how to use digital tools for learning, they are missing the social component of school and the chance to interact with their teachers and peers daily.

Over the past month I have had many students reach out to me expressing loneliness or fear about being away from school.

These cards and other items will allow me to send each of my students a personalized note with a small gift to remind them that their science teacher is still thinking of them and wishing them well.

A small positive message will go a long way toward building strong connections and helping students finish the school year on a positive note, even from a distance. Each student will receive a positive card, a scented pen and pack of fruit snacks as a reminder through the summer that I am thinking about them.
