Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Many of my students come from high poverty homes to my classroom where I am the sole provider of their educational experience. I have 17 eager and energetic first graders that love to learn. They enjoy helping each other reach their goals.

My students come to school with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences.

I use strategies which will help my students focus and be highly engaged while learning. Kindle Fires will help me to continue to fan the flames of their desire to learn.

My Project

Students will be able to explore apps for reading, math, and even coding on the Kindle Fire. There are so many great early reading and math apps for them to explore. My students are on fire for learning, and I want to fan those flames.

Kindle Fires will continue to help motivate my students to learn.

We are focusing on digital learning. We want our students to use digital tools/technology to gather information, solve problems, and create original works for learning. That's really hard to do if you only have a few old computers. The Kindle Fire tablets will allow my students to accomplish their goals with digital learning. Please help me to keep my students on FIRE for learning.
