Help me give my students a hands on education. We are building a campus farm, with that we need the fencing so that we can have cattle and goats on the farm.
Many of my students that come through my classes are the ones that learn better with hands-on learning. Some students have never set foot on a farm or seen a real life livestock animal. Many of my students are energetic, where in a normal classroom setting they don't learn well. The majority of my students learn better by being able to relate to experiences. My students need the ability to gain real life experiences in animal handling, vaccinations and feeds/nutrition. My students are eager to work with animals and learn the processes of farming.
My Project
We want to provide students with an hands-on learning experience on campus. A lot of students that come through our program has never set foot on a real farm or even seen a real farm animal, with this farm we can offer students the chance to get hands-on experience while never having to leave the campus. We currently have newly built barn with 6 stalls, an attached corral/working facility. Our barn and facility was built by students under my instruction. My students have gained a lot of knowledge about construction and farming practices. The fencing materials we are asking for will allow students to gain even more experiences about farming and fencing.
