As a teacher, I work hard to teach acceptance of all students whether that is ethnic diversity, social status, and even academic diversity. My students are unique because they are always working on having a growth mindset and be open to new and different things. I am always working towards making the best out of what I have available.
All students can learn and it is my responsibility to create the best environment for each of them individually to allow for growth to happen.
I have worked hard to create a welcoming, supportive, and celebratory atmosphere to help all students achieve their personal goals and feel good about their accomplishments. In language arts, there are many opportunities for us to read, write, discuss, and think about various topics.
My Project
My students need these supplies to help organize our classroom and keep us focused on our individual learning. The lavender, peppermint, and lemon essential oils will be diffused during work to keep the kids calm and able to focus on their independent learning during reading and writing.
Classroom organization is a key to student success.
When they can quickly find books they are interested in reading, they will spend more time on task and less time searching through books. I will use the Songmics storage shelves to house our classroom library books. These cubes will allow me to sort the books by genres and topics so students can quickly navigate through available options.
