My students are at an age where teachings habits are crucial. These habits that we teach now will help develop them into adults. They also thrive off of knowing exactly who, what, when, where and why. Although they may like surprise birthday presents, they do not like surprise events or wrenchs thrown into their day. I want to keep organization and chaos to a minimum for my students so they feel safe and secure. This will help encourage them in the learning process
My Project
Not only will these caddies make sure that every student at every table have a supply within arms reach, it will encourage and foster the idea of sharing. It will also teach them about leadership, taking turns and being kind. The labels will help keep the caddies organized by table. The other decorations will help keep the room bright and friendly so the kids feel welcomed and safe. When students feel safe and welcome in their classroom, they are able to learn better and take on roles (such as a leader) much easier. These decorative pieces will play a key role in fostering a child’s personal connection to key concepts in learning.
