My Students

I have 14 wonderful 2nd graders in my classroom. They are all unique and have diverse learning needs that must be met daily. My 2nd graders are energetic and love to learn. My classroom is part of a small and loving school community where everyone works together to build and support student success.

Our classroom community is one that focuses on building success together and supports one another in the classroom.

Creating an engaging, safe, and comfortable space for my students is a primary goal as an educator. Flexible seating has the power to create a positive and comfortable space for students to learn and grow.

My Project

In 2nd grade, students are always moving, learning, and working hard! It is important for them to have a safe and comfortable space to learn each day. My 2nd-grade students would benefit from having flexible seating options for a small group setting. On a daily basis, our class works in guided-reading and math groups.

With the addition of a kidney bean shaped table, students will have a comfortable space to learn, grow and succeed!

Students will have the opportunity to work effectively in a small group setting during reading, writing and math instruction. The shape of this table allows me to create instructional groups of 4-6 students at a time. Students can receive more individualized instruction with the setup of a unique table such as this one. It provides students with adequate space to sit and use their learning materials.
