Second grade is a wonderful year of exploration, growth, and learning. My students have a love for learning through hands on activities and are always looking for ways to increase their knowledge with topics.
My wonderful second graders are curious, creative, and have a love for learning.
Each student is unique and is curious with different interests. The interests include math, science, social studies, and so on! My second graders enjoy independent and hands-on exploration with these topics and with the resources that are available today the information is endless!
My Project
Imagine 18 second graders beginning a science unit on insects. One student wants to learn about insects that are common to our area and another student is interested in learning about insects that are not common in our area. During our science block, both students will be able to use Chromebooks to explore, compare, and watch videos about both insects. Both students are fascinated by these insects and inspire other students to use the resources that we were given to explore and study other topics that someday may change the world. This is just one example of how these Chromebooks would benefit these student’s education.
My students are visual learners and enjoy a hands on way to use their independent skills to dive deeper into topics that we are learning within the classroom.
These Chromebooks will give my students access to resources that we can use to expand our exploration of topics that we normally would be limited to without them.
