My Students

Every year parents trust and share 20 to 25 kindergartners with me. We live in a low income, small town, in Grants, NM. The school I teach at is one of the oldest schools in our district. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My class is made up with students who arrive with no letter/ number knowledge, those that have been introduced to a few, and those who know all and are ready to blend. I differentiate my instruction to meet their needs.

My Project

My students ranging from 20 to 25 each year, currently share 3 computers. Our curriculum relies on the use of computers for CKLA, I Station Reading and Math, Lexia, Zearn and our new addition of Eureka Math. My students need more access to technology.

By donating to our project, the purchase of an iPad would give my kindergartners the opportunity to succeed and enhance their technology skills.

Additional desk top computers are not in our school budget but even one more means of access to the curriculum would benefit my students.

An I Pad will be utilized to have a group of 4 using technology when we do centers or small groups.
