This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are truly an amazing group that are eager to learn. I feel that they absolutely love learning, and strive to do their best daily. However, their level of learning and individual learning struggles make it difficult for them to achieve their learning goal. In our classroom a variety of learning strategies, and learning options are incorporated into our daily routine to ensure that each student's needs are met, because it is imperative that they have the best educational experience that they can imagine. It is truly a blessing to engage and interact with such an amazing group of students.
My Project
Background knowledge is a big part of learning and relating to new materials, therefore I would like my students to have access to quality literature that will enhance their background knowledge. The use of these materials will help my students learning experience by working in conjunction with our class virtual reality headset.
The materials for this project will take my students to unimaginable places.
With this project, my students will be able to see, hear, and experience places that may not otherwise be accessible to them. Along with using the virtual reality headset, my students will read about the places they will visit. After viewing the places in the VR headset, then students will read and be better connected to the literature. It is my goal to help my students take advantage of learning opportunities that will make a difference in their learning experience.
