This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a class of 18, wonderful, curious, creative, and excited students. I have created a room where they can learn, grow, explore and ask questions.
We are at a Title I school; the majority of my students come from low-income families.
It is essential for children to learn through play. I need to provide my students with opportunities that allow them to explore and use higher-level thinking skills while playing. Pre-K is the cornerstone of education. I want to share my love of learning with every child in my room.
My Project
On the last day of school, I plan to read the book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" I would love to then be able to gift each student their own copy of the book. Inside the book, my paraprofessional and I will write a special note of encouragement for each student. I know that this will help their social and emotional health.
I want my students to have something that encourages them as they leave PreK and begin their educational journey knowing they have great futures ahead of them!
I need helping purchasing enough copies of this book for all of my students, virtual and face to face!
