My students come from a diverse area. Many students do not have access to educational materials at home. School is where these students go to foster their love of reading, science, and math.
My students thrive off of encouragement and praise from their peers, they love to share ideas and activities with one another.
These students are detectives, they love to find new places, people, and stories in books. They are constantly making connections to the real world by reading and finding what it is like to be in other people's shoes. My students come to school and know that they are in a place where they can be detectives and are always excited to see the days discoveries.
Students excel when given constant feedback and encouragement. The Apple TV and iPad allows me to teach unplugged and keep students engaged. I will be able to project from anywhere in the classroom! For example, if I notice that many students are struggling with a concept I can start teaching to the whole class from where ever I am standing, creating an environment with quick feedback.
Instead of the teacher being stuck at the board, the iPad lets the teacher move throughout the classroom.
My students will also have the opportunity to work with the iPad as well and they will be able to project their work to their peers.
