My Students

As I approach the door to welcome my students for the day, I greet children whose parents work hard and want to see their babies succeed, just like I do. My students are boys and girls who play soccer, football and dance. Students who go home to an empty apartment and to a full busy warm house. Students who worry about if they have money at lunch, or who are excited to see a note from mom in the lunchbox.

I greet energy, excitement and eagerness. I want to greet them with a prepared teacher using equipment that works well!

My Project

This is my daily conversation as I try to share read alouds, lessons, worksheets, pictures etc. I can't see it! Can you make it bigger!!! Sure, let me just turn this around and pull this down, can you see that? No, ok let me try this! Now? Sorry kids!

I have a web cam but it just doesn't cut it when I have to hold it with one hand for close ups!

My third graders are pretty amazing and very resilient. We share a good laugh when the camera drops or they get a close up of my eye! But that isn't efficient. I love to share books and read aloud, allowing them to see it on the big screen! Giving them a live example of a lesson is the best. My document camera lived a great life...but alas it met it's demise! We need a new one....please!
