This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are excited about creating. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches. My students don't have many opportunities outside of school to explore the arts. We are a very small community.
My students are so excited to learn about artists and mediums.
I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes. When students create an artwork, they are filled with pride and love to show it to their other teachers.
My Project
This project is for our art classroom, our computer speakers broke and we can't hear any sound! We need these speakers to be able to view videos on artist, art styles, and art periods. We also like to make our own videos and share them with the class.
Also, the speakers will be used to view websites and I will use these speakers during my science tutoring period to show science videos.
These video topics include- the moon phases, the planets, conservation, and weathering - just to name a few!
