Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach an awesome and eager group of kindergarten students in an inner-city school where 100% of students receive free school lunch. Most of my students come from a family background where they lack academic and financial support to enrich their academic studies. The majority of these students come from families where parents are too busy working and lack the language or education to help them with their schoolwork. Therefore, the role of the teacher is extremely vital to their learning.
Despite these setbacks, my students are motivated learners who rely heavily on teachers and school support to help them become successful in life.
Our school motto is to be respectful, responsible, and scholarly. In order to help them achieve these goals, I must provide them with the best classroom environment, full of the proper supplies and guidance.
My Project
Oh, no! The school year has just started and I already see runny noses, coughs, and germs everywhere! My students are starting to spread their little germs amongst each other! I need to prevent that from happening further! My goal is to make sure we have a clean and healthy classroom so that my students can come to school every day instead of being home sick. We need wipes to wipe down the areas that have germs on them. We also need hand sanitizer to combat germs.
With flu season coming, my goal is to maintain a germ free classroom for optimal learning!
Attendance is the key to successful learning! With all the supplies, I can maintain a very clean and healthy environment for my kindergarteners to learn!
