Ours is a Title I School and like many other schools across the county, most of the children come from low income, poverty-stricken homes. Each and every child receives breakfast and lunch daily at no cost. Many live in low-income housing, hotels, and some are even in shelters. For many in my class, English is their second language and some have special needs. With that being said, they all love to come to school and want to learn. They deserve all the resources and fun we can give them.
My students are absolutely one of the most charming, and sweetest group of kids I have had the privilege of teaching!
These kiddos come in the door ready to learn and have fun. They will laugh, cry, hug, giggle, play, and learn all in one place: their classroom. Therefore, I am eager and ready to help each of them achieve their dreams.
My Project
Thanks to the very Best School Day EVER funding of every project, my students will receive an amazing MacBook right after Spring Break! The kids are so excited and of course so am I! My students are learning how to research topics that they are writing about. I would love to add Microsoft Office to the Mac so that they and I can write and then print their work. This office software will benefit each and every student throughout the school year.
Having access to this software will give my students an advantage that they most likely would not have until they were older.
