Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things fun and engage my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that will encourage them to learn. My Kindergarten class is all inclusive. We have students from every walk of life!

They are excited to explore the world around them and to learn about life!

These items will help my school by providing resources that will help all my students get excited about learning.

My Project

My kindergartner students will use the Osmo kits daily with their Ipads in their math and reading centers to solve puzzles, learn their letters and numbers, add, and count in an engaging way. I can also use these as a special intervention for struggling students.

This will allow students to learn independently and expose them to technology they would not be able to experience at home.

In a world full of technology, my students often have none at home. They are at a disadvantage. This will allow them to gain experiences they need to be successful at school and in their future.

My students will be begging to learn from Osmos!
