Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are unique in the sense that they wake up each morning ready to take on a new day despite any hardships they may be personally facing! The students here are ones who may not get to experience things the "typical" child would. Imagine not ever going to the zoo as a child, or never getting to take a weekend trip to the movie theater. Believe it or not, many of the children at our school may not get to experience such simple pleasures.

The learning environment at our school is very rigorous and my students love a challenge!

My students always strive to give their best effort. The children here need to constantly remain engaged in the learning all the while having fun! The teachers and staff here try to expose them to all of the pleasures that come with childhood while maintaining a structured and meaningful learning environment.

My Project

Our 4th grade students deserve a field trip at the beginning of the school year to start things off exciting. We are wanting to do this through a trip to Medieval Times.

Our students will start the year off in August learning tough concepts day one.

We want this field trip to be an early reward, a way to relax and find enjoyment, while at the same time getting a firsthand learning experience featuring a historical theme.

Students will learn about the history of the 11th century, including but not limited to what individuals ate by partaking in a historical feast. They will also get to watch a live jousting match, learn about the importance of the coat of arms, which is a symbol we use at our school!
