My Students
Do you remember reading books in a series that you truly enjoyed? My students here love the series, Warriors, by Erin Hunter.
I have 7th & 8th grade students who enjoy reading. With the State budget cuts its very hard to order books in Hardback being that they are very expensive. At one time I had these books in paperback that were donated through a student. The books were checked out so often that they began to fall apart and became damaged. I would really like to have the whole series for these students to check out again.
My Project
Here at our School we have a reading program called Accelerated Reader. Our students read the books and than take a quiz on them for points. I have quizzes for all these books. But through time wear & tear We can not afford to purchase the hardback editions.
This project is extremely important to our School. I feel the love of reading is important in a child's life. Having this series in our Library again will be extremely exciting for the students this year and the years to come.
Having 700 students checking out these books the Hardback edition they will last through the years to come.
