My Students

I currently have 16 scholars in a Title 1 school that are eager and ready to learn. They come to school every day ready to work hard. We live in a small, rural community that is surrounded by farm land. I have kids that know about hard work and having a work ethic at the ripe "old" age of seven.

Our town and school may be small, but our PRIDE and SENSE OF COMMUNITY are a force to be reckoned.

My Project

Were you a struggling reader, or is your child a struggling reader? Let's face it, reading is hard. The Orton-Gillingham instructional approach is proven to help struggling readers by including multi-sensory instructional practices and a systematic approach to phonics instruction.

Research shows that struggling readers and students with Dyslexia benefit greatly from systematic, multi-sensory instruction like the Orton-Gillingham approach.

This training is an intensive 4 day training that will give me the necessary skills needed to reach all of my students exactly where they are to ensure ALL of my students have the skills they need to be successful readers.
