My Students

I work with students from Kindergarten to fifth grade at my school, so you can say that my classroom is the entire school! My primary focus is working with students that are struggling to meet their goals in the classroom.

Sometimes, students have difficulty staying seated in a regular chair and a wiggle stool may be able to help!

At meetings when a teacher expresses concern that their student has a hard time seating still, I wonder what can be provided to help them stay in their seat. I think about wobble chairs and their use at other schools and that many students I work with could benefit from having this type of seating option. They can use it in my office or borrow for their classroom!

My Project

My office space is small but I would love to offer flexible seating in my space. The hope is that the wobble chairs become of interest to the students to then use in their space in their classrooms.

Wobble chairs are an alternative to the classroom chairs.

Many teachers have switched to flexible seating. I want to continue to support the school environment and have flexible seating in my office as well. The students need new ways of keeping their bodies in movement while also learning. The wobble chairs can offer a new way to support my students learning at our school!
