Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are fourth graders studying from home. Many students live below the poverty level, often with a single parent that works more than one job. Some students are the children of immigrants and speak English as a second level.
We spend time working remotely with technology and having virtual meetings.
We are learning how to virtual presentations using google slides. How to write informative papers, how to cite evidence and answer critical response questions.
My Project
Being able to print and have paper will help me when I do virtual lessons with students. As I print materials at home I will be able to do complete assignments on paper as we do them as a class. Then share them virtually to students.
Replacing color toner will help me to make colorful assignments that match what students are seeing online in google classroom.
It will also enable me to print and send out colorful notes, quotes, and messages to students.
I am planning on using the laminator to laminate some of the materials that I am sending out to students so they can last for a longer period of time.
