My students are my heartbeats. They are full of life, caring, and oh so loving! Seeing my students brightens a dark day and add a glow to better days. I enjoy teaching my students through hands on activities (projects and games), music, and songs because it keeps them engaged and wanting to know more. This year I have been awarded to opportunity to loop with my students. I cannot wait to track their growth from last year to this year. My goal for my students this year are for them to read on a level A-B by the end of the year. I’m sure this goal will be accomplished because my students have a love for reading whether in whole group, small group, or independently. Last school year, our class’ library was the student’s favorite center. I cannot wait to see their faces when they see our new and improved library! My students are great observers so I’m sure they’ll notice any differences and similarities quickly!
My Project
Paintbrushes & Art Easel-
“Kids learn through all their senses,” says Ben Mardell, “and they like to touch and manipulate things.” The items on our class’ wish list promotes the idea of hands on learning and allow teachers to make learning fun!
4 Comfy Floor Seats
Flexible seating items are in our class’ cart to allow students the freedom to take charge of their learning by picking their own learning corners.
Read Along Books & Listening Center
Last school year, my students enjoyed reading! The new gigs in the reading center will nurture that love for reading and make reading more interesting. We look forward to you generous donations to help make this school effective and exciting!
