My students would benefit greatly from having four Chromebooks in our classroom. Technology provides different alternatives to textbooks and paper pencil. The internet puts valuable information at the students fingertips and allows them to be more engaged in their own learning. Not all students have the benefits of computers at home, some students come to third grade never having used a computer.
Technology adds so many aspects to the education of 21st century learners.
We will use the Chromebooks to increase reading fluency, comprehension, writing and accountability. The computers will give the students a chance to enhance their ability to become great readers. Third grade demands this...I would love to be able to make it a more enjoyable experience for my students.

Technology is an important part of keeping students actively engaged in their learning.
My students need Chromebooks to be able to work on differentiated assignments during reading centers.
Currently, we have curriculum that is most easily accessible using technology. Our school does not have enough computers for each classroom teacher to be able to use during small group rotations. With a goal to help all of my students pass their reading FSA, these Chromebooks will help us meet that goal. These laptops will allow each student to access differentiated lessons tailored to meet each child's specific needs and keeping them on the path to success.
