My Students

We are a small, rural county school of 55 kids, grades Pre-K to 12. Some of our classes are split classes with more than one grade.

Most of our students receive free breakfast and lunch each day.

The school's town has only about 200 people, yet some families commute to attend our school because of our small class sizes. We have a dedicated staff that cares about all of our students. There will be 10 students (grades 1 -2) who will benefit from this project.

My Project

My students get up and move around a lot in our classroom! But there are times when they are sitting on their hard plastic chairs or on the carpeted but cement floor.

Having "soft seats" will make them more comfortable during story time on the floor or when working on things at their desks.

We would also like some puzzles (USA and World) to go with our social studies unit. We love studying maps!

Last year we had our first ant farm and butterfly exhibit which were exciting and fun to have in our classroom. (Thanks, former donor!) We'd like some ants and caterpillars for this school year. We can do the ants now in the fall, and we can save the butterfly certificate for the spring.
