My Students

Our art students come from a variety of socioeconomic, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Some of our students come to us and have never created art. I work hard to incorporate art creation, aesthetics, art history, and art criticism into my students' lessons and make it my personal goal for these kids to enjoy walking into the art room to create! In our art room, we make connections to the core areas (math, reading, social studies, science, and writing) so students see that art connects to many parts of our lives.

Our art students are always creating, doodling, drawing, sculpting, folding, carving, critiquing, analyzing, comparing, and learning!

My Project

Sometimes you just need a potpourri of supplies to make your space and projects complete. While these items may all seem random, they are all needed supplies for our classroom.

A good, quality adhesive is a must in any art room - we use glue of some sort on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis.

Yes, paste is a quality adhesive that will help us with our book making this spring! We need paint pens for a 6th grade graffiti fence sculpture project. They will help us with the fine details! A few more copies of Create This Book are needed to round out a full set for my 8th graders to utilize as an art journal this semester.

The figurines are for a new project that we've never done before - mini art galleries! We are excited to use them! We are requesting a few things for our Makerspace/STEM/STEAM area: diamond painting storage (help keep us organized), and a sliding puzzle that students have been requesting. Please consider donating to our odds and ends request to tie up loose ends in our classroom!
