I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they have learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!

My Project
Every child loves to do obstacle courses. I want to build the best obstacle course I can for my students. Having the right equipment helps to do this. We need a tunnel, agility kit and Joey jump to help make this happen. This items will also come in handy when we do our fitness units. The students love doing new fun things in class and I am always looking to make this possible.
Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity.
With your help we can get our students on the right track to start their own fitness program. Students will benefit from this program for many years to come. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future.
