My students need a butterfly pavilion and an ant factory to watch and explore real-life insects. The children will be able to observe the life cycle of a butterfly and also release them into the community.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
EP is an urban school within CMSD! Our scholars come to school from a community that is filled with violence and negativity. Despite the many negative experiences these children have in their lives they still come to school excited about learning! These children come into class everyday with a smile on their faces and hugs to give.
Pre-K children need a chance to open their minds and observe insects in their own classroom.
My children deserve the chance to learn with STEM.
My Project
My Pre-K students will be so excited when we receive our Butterfly and Ant kits. The children will be able to observe the daily changes in the life cycle of a butterfly and take and draw pictures along the way. The ant farm will be used in the same way for observing and exploring ants in their personal environments.
Let students explore and observe instincts in their own classroom.
Please help my students in making this science lesson possible. My Pre-K students will be able to take care of insects and watch how they change over time. This will be a lesson they remember forever.
