I teach kindergarten-fifth grade special education at the alternative school in Campbell County. All my students are placed at my school for various reasons which prevent them from being successful in a typical education setting. My students only attend school for three hours at a time. I have all ages at all levels in my class. Most of my students come from less than desirable home situations. For some, this is the only place where they have felt successful in school.
My Project
While it is the beginning of a new calendar year, we are halfway through the school year. My students need iPad chargers and USB plugs to ensure all technology is working properly. My students who have been working on proper letter formation, need some change. The color-changing markers will add some fun and excitement to this activity. Lamination pouches are always needed to create durable activities and visuals to help my students be successful.
Many of my students need new take-home folders to continue to communicate with parents and families about their school days.
As my students are unable to bring backpacks, these folders are imperative to the students' home/school relationship.
