My Students

I teach health and PE to 5th-8th graders. My health content is nutrition. I love teaching nutrition because the effect food has on the way our body works is amazing to me and I love sharing lifelong nutrition concepts to help kids live a long healthy lifestyle. My kids are energetic, technologically driven, and engaged throughout nutrition class. Having tablets will allow us to be able to explore nutrition around the world, use online resources, and visualize nutrition lifestyle skills in the real world!

My Project

In nutrition, I will use these tablets to assess my students on the content. Allow the students to learn the content through games like Kahoot, GimKit, and Quizlet live and give my students the chance to interact with each other through a digital resource. My students love being able to look up athletes, professionals, and other countries to relate to them through our content and the tablets allow them to find the information they are excited about in moments! I hope that the tablets will allow my students to work hard in class to be better every day! Most of all, I enjoy seeing my students excited and smiling!
