Numbers, Shapes and Patterns, Oh My!!
My students need 9 math activity kits that contain manipulatives to improve their math skills in the areas of counting, patterning and sorting.
Math is all around us. My children need to learn the language of math. They need "hands on" materials to help them learn important math concepts.
I teach in an EELP classroom.
EELP stands for "Early Exceptional Learning Program". This is the Hillsborough County School District's early intervention program. Most people are very surprised to find out that the school district provides services for preschoolers with special needs. My job is to help these special needs students prepare for kindergarten.
The counting tray and magnetic board will help my students work on the skill of counting using one-to-one correspondence. The shape tray will help children not only sort the shapes but identify them. The peg boards will not only help the children count but they will also be working on their fine motor skills.
My students need individual attention and I use a variety of strategies to help them learn.
Children learn by playing and these resources are fun to play with and they can learn at the same time. Please consider donating to my project to help my students!!
