Help me give my students an involving introduction to number sequencing and early counting. These math puzzles and activities will help them better understand number sense and help them practice counting, recognizing numbers and build overall number skills.
I have a wonderful K/1 bilingual combination classroom!!! Our school is a Title One school located in an inner city and one hundred percent of our students receive a free/reduced lunch. Many of them are at risk. They are energetic, enthusiastic and above all eager to learn in both languages, Spanish and English.
My first graders and kindergartners have had different needs all year long.
Despite these differences they have all worked so hard this year! They have many dreams and together we are working vehemently to achieve those dreams.
The materials that I have selected will make a huge difference in my students learning! My students will practice early counting. They will also recognize numbers, build numbers sense and visualize quantities in a fun filled way during math centers that I strive to create every week.
Help give my students a fun filled way to understand number sense.
Involving hands on math practice with plenty of visual reinforcement will help facilitate student learning in a meaningful way.
These math activities are ideal for early number sense.
I have seen how choice and having a variety of activities to practice with have positively affected my students and their eagerness to learn.
