Nugget Needs a New Cage!

Help me give my students a new guinea pig cage and the supplies to keep it going. Our guinea pig cage has fallen apart from all his visits to student homes!

My Project

Nugget, our classroom guinea pig, is in need of a new cage and a friend. My students have taken on all of his needs. They have read to him, taken him home each weekend, played with him, feed him and cleaned his cage. He has many hands reaching in each day to give him a scratch under the chin! With all this love, his cage has worn out. We need your help!

Nugget has changed my classroom in so many ways.

He motivates children to come in every day. He soothes sad faces when children are dealing with life's events. Nugget has inspired children to write books about him, and he continues to teach responsibility. Nugget helps shy children find their voice, and rough children to find gentleness.

I love letting children take home this pet over the weekends. For so many people pets are not an option, and having this sweet friend for a weekend makes their month. Some of the items in my cart will help with keeping our guinea pig healthy and happy.
