My Students

As I greet my high schoolers at my classroom door each day, they always return the warm welcome. We have worked hard at creating a welcoming environment. Together, we learn the Spanish language and culture by spending the majority of our time immersed in it. My students take risks with their newfound vocabulary. They are confident learners who hit me with insightful and tough questions. We laugh together. We sing together. We eat together. We praise one another together. We grow together. I am proud of their willingness to step out of their comfort zones to try new things. I am proud of how far they advance in the Spanish language in just 4 short years.

My Project

As I continue to build my free choice reading library in my classroom, I find our classroom to have a need for more books that are not only interesting to teenagers but at a comprehensible level for their Spanish. I believe that these books will fulfill both of those needs. Thank you for your donation to our project. Little by little, we are making progress. And, with each passing reading day, the students are learning more Spanish and enjoying passing the time immersed in books that are interesting to them. God Bless you for your generosity---may it be returned to you ten-fold.
