Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

"Remember ALL of what you SEE and HEAR"! I am a fourth grade teacher at a Pre-K through 4th grade school in Louisiana. We are a Title I school with more than 90% of our students receiving free/reduced lunch.

My students are struggling with reading comprehension. Many are excellent readers but remembering key details from what they read is a major problem they are encountering.

I would like to have dry erase boards and markers for my students to be able write down important ideas/details, questions, etc. as they read their reading stories. They can be used in small group as well as whole group instruction. This would be a lot more interesting than the traditional paper/pen method. In addition to the dry erase boards, the reproducible workbooks can be used to strengthen their comprehension skills as an additional resource to our existing reading program.

Your help will make it possible for my students to become more skilled at remembering the facts and improve their comprehension skills tremendously.
