My Students

Our students attend the only regional project-based learning school in Wisconsin. We are an intentionally diverse school, so our students come from all over southeastern Wisconsin. Many of our students find the school as a sanctuary after traditional schools. We bring kids together and work collaboratively to create a place where students engage in deep, meaningful learning. It's not rare to see kids of different races, backgrounds, interests, and skillsets working together and forming strong relationships at our school.

We pride ourselves on the challenge, authenticity, and compassionate interaction.

In the fall of 2019, we'll have about 100 students, across all ability levels, from both the city of Milwaukee and well into the surrounding areas. Our students have started businesses, worked alongside professionals in internships, and won awards for their artistic endeavors. We're proud to be a family.

My Project

Seeing is Believing... students learn by engaging in hands-on, interdisciplinary projects. By projecting what another student or the teacher is doing onto the screen, other students can follow along and learn the specific techniques being taught.

Be it painting, drawing, carpentry, essay editing, mixing chemicals in the lab, actually being able to see what the technique is will transform other students be able to do the work on their own.

I am asking for 2 document cameras not only for my classroom but for my entire school. These devices will help transform what kids see by literally magnifying what their teachers are showing them. Not only that, but the cameras can be used to record video examples and play them back to students who were absent.
