Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in grades PK-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.
I teach at a Title I school in Southern California where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
One challenge is providing students with a variety of alphabet materials to both keep their interest and challenge them to learn and practice their ABC's.
My students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
We need some alphabet manipulatives for my Kindergarteners to help them learn their letters. The ABC's are a basic foundational skill in Kindergarten and mastering this skill will help them soar!
We can all remember how exciting it is for us to learn our letters for the first time!
As a teacher, I'm always trying to find new and exciting ways for my students to explore, learn and practice their letters at school. By supporting this project, our classroom will be filled with a variety of alphabet games, alphabet stamps, alphabet boards, alphabet sponges, alphabet puzzles and alphabet manipulatives to support my students learning .
Once students get interested in letters, test scores, motivation, self confidence and classroom grades will rise.
Please consider donating so we start to encourage and foster their love of the good old ABC's!
