Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kind, creative, and curious people! They thrive in a classroom environment full of hands-on, active, engaging projects that allow them to think outside the box and create! My students support each other and are learning to advocate for what they feel is just and also support each other in the learning process and outcome.
They arrive to class every day ready to try new things, show what they know, and support each other in our learning community.
Our elementary school is located in a thriving and diverse community. They are my inspiration to grow as a person and continue to serve my community!
My Project
I have selected a wide variety of book titles for my students who all have various wants and interests when it comes to reading. Just like adults in a book store, the more the selection, the more likely they'll pick up something great to take home to read. Reading is a pleasure and these resources will give my students the chance to enjoy that moment again and again.
Please consider this donation to promote literacy in the classroom and promote life long reading.
The books I have selected are sure to interest my students and are leveled for everyone to enjoy. My students enjoy reading so much that they often take it to a higher level and become short story writers themselves. Thank you for your support!
