Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over ninety percent of our students receiving free lunch. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics.
Our school is fully inclusive.
Inclusion in education is an approach to educating students with special educational needs. Under the inclusion model, students with special needs spend most or all of their time with regular education students. Inclusion rejects the use of special schools or classrooms to separate students with disabilities from students without disabilities. With the math and reading centers being at varied levels, all students can work together and feel as if they are all one grade level working on the same activities.
My Project
There are a range of abilities and benefits that a document camera can provide. For one, using a document camera can give students a better look at any items or documents you want to show them.
Document cameras give students the ability to see an object or text clearly from anywhere in the classroom, as well as remotely which is important for comprehension and understanding.
Document cameras replace the need for costly handouts and help to save paper.
Teachers will be teaching remotely as well as in the classroom in a very short time. I will need to meet the needs of all of my students and allowing the students to visually see the work be taught is a definate benefit for all students. Having a document camera will allow the students physically in front of me to see the work on the classroom SMART board as well as the students learning remotely as I share my screen with them.
