My happy leaders come to the classroom with a variety of needs, backgrounds, and strengths. All of them are eager to learn and become a part of our special classroom community. They are learning about themselves and their classmates as they become independent readers and learners.
Perseverance is an important life skill we practice daily.
We are learning the power of "YET". Figuring out that pushing through the challenges is what grows us. We are learning that we can do hard things.
This class set of novels will allow my students to read a funny and touching story about a student just like them while becoming better readers...and better people.
We will use these novels to explore characters, theme, and plot, all while discovering how perseverance and second chances can make all the difference in the world.
This book is a wonderful example of seeking to understand each other and being kind to each other.
A class set of novels gives each student their own copy of the book, allowing students to work in groups to really drill down on the character traits and plot twists of the story. A fun and engaging story will help to create a love of reading!
