This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are avid readers with a passion for books! They work hard and have determination to give me their best everyday. We have a genuine diversity in this classroom where students have many different backgrounds and culture; it's what makes this classroom so unique!

As a Title I school with limited resources, my students overcome adversity and do their best with what they have.

They have never complained about their teacher not having a good classroom selection; this shows me that they truly deserve this!

My Project

In our class, we have done a whole unit on NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. The students have truly become experts in the process of taking men and women to space!

We are working on comparing and contrasting a book with that of a video and they have shown great interest in this book.

They will enjoy using this book to further their understanding on what it truly took to accomplish these missions. I am also hoping to inspire some of my young girls in this classroom! I would love for my students to get the opportunity to explore this book. Thank you so much!
