Novel Sets and SEL

Help me give my students choice and creativity! I want to grow my collection on novels to boost engagement and choice. I also need creative supplies for emotional learning.

My Students

I teach in a Utah school with 28 funny, enthusiastic, problem-solving students. We love to joke around and enjoy our school day.

My students are independent and motivated.

My students have rich group discussions and love to have debates. They are passionate about their point of view, but they are always so respectful to each other. I am lucky to have such a kind and sweet class.

My Project

My students love novel study groups, so I am working to grow my collection to boost engagement and choice.

I think it is so important for students to have choice in the classroom, as choice is crucial for their self-worth.

My students get to choose the books they read in small group reading circles. They also enjoy independently reading the books their groups did not choose.

To support SEL, I am also asking for supplies to support creativity within my classroom. I asked for stress balls to help my students focus throughout the day. I also need organizational supplies to hold these materials in my classroom.
