My students need colored paper to help them stay organized and understand the value of notes in math. Many students at my school do not have the necessary supplies. This will provide them with paper to take notes.
My 8th are amazing individuals who teach me something new every single day. As their teacher it is my job to mold their minds and prepare them for life outside of the classroom. However, because they are children still they struggle with organization and keeping track of important papers in this case their notes. The notes they are use are for their learning and are required for them to use in class because I reference content from them on a daily basis. The area that I cater to is the same area that I grew up in and where my friends are from. Middle class to poverty stricken families that area striving for success. My school if family that wants to help our students be productive citizens in the world by doing all that we can to support them in the classroom.
My Project
In my years as an educator I have found that students struggle with keeping track of their notes or do not know which notes go with specific topic. Also in Math students struggle understanding how things flow together. With the use of colored notes students will be able to work on their organization skills and study at home.
The students that I serve do not all come from a home where their parent is able to check their homework or help them study.
With all of their notes being color coordinated they will know exactly which notes, classwork, and quizzes they should focus on instead of scrambling through papers. This will help them to be focus and lead to their success in the classroom.
