This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Winters in Texas are unpredictable. Have you heard "You know you're from Texas when you can get all four seasons in one week?" Well, our classroom is no exception. We can have warm mornings and cold afternoons. We can't control well the temperature in our class.

We would like to have a space heater for those cold days.

It would help my students focus on learning without layers of clothes. A thermometer would also be a great help these times. Students are sent daily for temperature checks every time they don't feel well and sometimes they have to wait in the nurse's office with kids that had tested positive for Covid. A thermometer could help the teacher see if a kid has a fever before sending him or her to the nurse. Finally, an oil diffuser would help my students to be calm and focused. It would have physical and emotional benefits for the kids.
