Help me give my students the opportunity to have a real feel for the game of basketball. We are in need of basketballs to support our PE classes, recess equipment and middle school bball teams.

My Students

The students that attend our school are a sociological phenom.

ALL student have the opportunity to experience /interact with several different cultures and our classes are jammed full of talent.

Our students speak, live and thrive in a world that many others would consider different. Many are ELLS students and are just beginning to comfortable with our traditional American culture. Sports are game changers for us and students miss out on the opportunity to participate because of budgetary restrictions. Our district also initiated required recess but did not provide any funding. The PE budget for the 2018-2019 was $500.00 for 680 students. The Wang middle schools offers a variety of after school programs that include fitness and well as other academic programs.

My Project

The Importance of correct equipment is essential in teaching. Some of our students have never had the opportunity to use/try equipment that is not tattered, ripped or in a constant state of needing to be pumped up.

I chose Dicks SG because of the quality and I have had personal experience with this vendor.

My role as a high school coach also gives me knowledge and reasoning as to why proper equipment is key when introducing new activities.

PE class budgets are literally non-existent and though webpages like donorschoose.org. If the request cannot be fulfilled we are so willing to take gently used equipment.
