Not Every Brain Learns the Same

My students need On-Ear Headphones to use in our listening center stations for both language arts and math. In math, the cubes will be used for addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division!

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade scholars not only love to learn but love to show others what they are learning! When faced with difficult challenges they also rise to the occasion and internalized the "mistakes are proof that you are trying". Working to together to show respect, integrity, safety, and effort are values we've embraced and honor every single day. Without a doubt these kids deserve nothing but the best and I intend to give them that. I love what I do and I truly believe my scholars know that too,

My Project

The cube manipulatives set will be used as a class set and allow my scholars to stop counting on their fingers and use a more concrete item that will support their growth. This school year we will introduce double/triple digit addition & subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The on-ear head phone will give my scholars the opportunity to phone their work better by eliminating outside distractions.

Also, many of my scholars are English language learners and listening to fluent, spoken English will them acquire the language faster. The headphones current available to us are in very poor condition and mostly do not work. I will definitely add more listening stations into our learning day if we receive a new set for all of our assigned computers.
