Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are multicultural students from many different socioeconomic backgrounds. Many students just by getting up and coming to school each day are overcoming obstacles. Our classroom is a safe space without judgement, where students can be free to learn and be curious. Everyday they work to create a stronger future for themselves. My classroom holds future cancer curing scientists, comedians, and veterinarians. It has students that hope to help the country they came from and be a light for many generations to come. My students believe they can change the world and so do I!

My Project

Currently, in class that will have 24 students I have only 2 desk top computers and a limited number of text books. My students are going to be inquirers and the more ways they can explore concepts the broader their understanding of the world will become. I want my students to think globally but I need them to be able to reach out of the classroom to that. Having a few extra computers will create more opportunities for students to build skills needed for the 21st century. It puts them in touch with cultures and ideas so they can move into adulthood with open minds and hearts to create a more unified world.
