My Students

We are a 2nd grade class in a public school setting. Our scholars are English Language Learners who learn best by exploring tools and concepts kinesthetically. When students can touch, smell. hear, taste, and see a concept they use all of their 5 senses to learn.

My Project

Scholars need multiple writing tools to be able to express themselves in multiple ways. Young scholars still have the leisure or drawing pictures to document their learning ability, respond to texts and create. A favorite tool to be able to express themselves in these ways is the old reliable whiteboard. We have come to find that while the whiteboards are plentiful, the dry erase markers fail to keep up. Scholars will need access to dry erase markers daily to be able to express themselves in multiple ways. These will help students to write, illustrate, practice, and improve their writing skills.
