Not all READERS are LEADERS but all LEADERS are READERS
My students need 24 high interest business and marketing books to read because we do not have textbooks. The chosen books include leadership, business techniques, and ethics.
"Not all readers are leaders...but all leaders are readers." With texting, Twitter, and Facebook students are having less of an attention span. Providing them with different types reading material(not a textbook) will allow them to have a new method for learning.
Self-motivated high school students who take the lessons they learn in class to on the job training sites.
My students would like to gain real world experience and continue to learn about business and marketing in college. Currently over half of our nation’s workers are employed under the broad scope of the marketing umbrella. Projections for future employment see the number of positions rising and employment needs for our graduates at a premium.
My Project
The resources I am requesting all fall under the marketing, business, ESL training in business, and ethics category. The books would be a great resource to our classroom since we do not currently have a textbook. My students would love the opportunity to read a variety of business themed books and expand their real world knowledge. The books are diverse and open their eyes to a wider array of business and ethical leadership.
This donation will help current students and be relevant future entrepreneurs for years to come.
Leadership, ethics, and responsible business strategies are all important skills to be teaching students in the world today.
