My Students

We are fortunate to have students and families who stress the importance of academic success along with strong social intelligence. They are involved in many extra activities including music, scouts, drama, athletics, service projects, and more while working hard on their school work.

Our students are part of a strong community of learners who also strive to be good citizens.

We are also thankful for a strong parent support and presence at our school. We enjoy involving the community in project to enhance and improve our school environment.

My Project

We have been working on a research project for Bluebirds in 4th grade ELA. Students researched bluebird habitats, box locations, and looked at the current location of our 10 current bluebird boxes.

We are going to be relocating the bird boxes to a proper location on the school grounds and providing protection from predators.

This project was based on the students' research. We determined that the bluebird boxes were incorrectly placed next to our parking lot, providing a home for an invasive species, House Sparrows, to move in. Adding the buckets will also prevent snakes and other predators from getting inside the boxes.
