My Students

My students are determined when it comes to learning. They believe in themselves and each other. In our classroom, we work to instill a love for learning, and I encourage students to ask questions to expand their knowledge. My students love to share their learning with one another and get excited when they learn new facts from the books they are reading.

My students are avid readers and intrigued when it comes to learning.

They have a passion for learning about new topics and enjoy becoming experts on a variety of topics. Reading helps take my students to places they have never been and encourages them to think of all the opportunities that await them outside of the classroom.

My Project

My students love to learn about new topics and ideas. They are more engaged when reading nonfiction texts and love to share new facts with each other. I have seen nonfiction texts spark the interest of my students who struggle with reading or otherwise do no find reading enjoyable. When we get a new nonfiction book in our classroom, my students are always eager to be the first person to read the new book. Unfortunately, we currently do not have enough nonfiction materials in our classroom to allow each student to have this engaging, real-world reading experience. By funding my project, you will be helping students grow their love for reading and help expand their awareness of the world around them with a new collection of engaging nonfiction books!
